Reimagine Duo Biography

The “ Re-Imagine” Duo is composed by the flugelhornist Dario Savino Doronzo (1986) and the pianist Pietro Gallo (1985), musicians with classical background, but also performers extremely eclectic from Jazz Music to World Music.


They performed in major Concert Halls and Jazz Festival in Italy and abroad: “Carnegie Hall” of New York, “Spectrum NYC” of Brooklyn, IIC – Italian Cultural Institute of New York,  “University of Arts” of Tirana (Al), “RuidalSud” International Festival of Arts, Municipal Conservatory of Thermi / Thessaloniki (Gr), “Ciglana  Klub” of Belgrade (Cs), “Kulturni Centar” of Novi Sad (Cs), Yasar University of Izmir (Tr), Manhattan Theater of Rome, Talos Festival, Spazio Classica of Milan, Piacenza Jazz Fest, Beat Onto Jazz Festival, Rodi Jazz Festival (It), European Arts Academy – International Music Fondation, etc.


They awarded in more than 20 International Music Competitions as Jazz Soloists.


Their concerts and their works have been favourably advised by critics in Italian and foreign magazines and newspapers concerning his field (JAZZIZ Magazine, Bebop Spoken Here, MusicWeb International, Jazz Quad, Amadeus Magazine, Musica Jazz, JazzIT, Musica Magazine,  L'Ape Musicale, Connessi all'Opera, , etc.). 


They currently collaborate with “DiG – Digressione Music” Label for a CD entitled “Reimagining Opera”, with the featuring of Michel Godard (serpent). The latest work was released in 2023, with the name of Reimagining Arias, again for DiG with the featuring of Gabriele Mirabassi on clarinet.


They devote also to teaching. They held courses and seminaries focus on Trumpet and on Jazz Performance in Italy and abroad (America, Argentine, Greece, Albania, Serbia, etc.). 


They teach Trumpet and Piano in Italian Music Conservatories and in High Schools of Music.
